What should I wear for my treatment and do I need to undress?
None of the treatments we perform require you to undress. Indian head massage and on-site chair massage can be performed through clothes. We suggest that you wear just normal office wear.
Will oils be used for massage?
We do not use oils for Indian head massages or on site chair massages although we do for pedicure, manicure, table massage and sports injury massages.
Are there any medical conditions for which therapies are not suitable?
Yes, it is very important that you let us know, when you make the booking, if there are any medical conditions you have e.g. skin disorders, low/high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes and others. When you book, there will be a medical form for you to fill in on-line and the therapist will ask you to sign a medical consent form at the appointment. We will not treat anyone who has not completed the on-line medical consultation form and confirmed that all the details on the form are correct. It is in the client's health interest that the therapist is completely aware of any medical conditions they have.
Which ailments can therapeutic treatments cure?
A therapist should not claim to cure an ailment. Ailments are caused by a multitude of factors involving the person and environmental influences. It may therefore be appropriate to treat a condition with a multiple of therapies, including complementary therapies which should be used in conjunction with the guidance of your GP.
Which qualifications & insurances do the therapists hold?
All our therapists hold the appropriate qualifications and insurance cover for the treatments provided. All documents are held at our office on file and can be produced on request. Therapist insurances are provided by a range of therapist insurers and include coverage for public liability and professional indemnity cover to a minimum of £1million and typically to the value of £3million. Office Wellbeing carries employer’s liability insurance. In cases where therapists have renewed their insurances but have yet to receive a new certificate, we request that the therapist provides us with details of their insurer and a reference number to check their coverage directly with the insurance provider.
Do therapists wear uniforms?
All our therapists wear the appropriate uniform for the treatment they provide. Our corporate image is a black uniform, however there may be situations where a therapist may wear white due to the use of certain oils that show up badly on a black uniform.
What products do the therapists use?
All our therapists use their own products which they feel comfortable using, but we insist that they are of good quality and in good condition.
Do the therapists require breaks in between treatments?
There is normally a 5 minute change-over period between treatments. In this period, the therapist can conduct their pre-treatment consultation and post treatment feedback. We do not encourage our therapists to work without a break, as this could affect the quality of the service. However, they are all used to working in an office environment and generally know how to pace themselves.
Who pays for the treatments and how and when?
The employer can pay, buy vouchers, or the employees can pay. All payments are paid on-line through the web-site. We use Pay-pal which is a fully insured and secure payment system and keeps your payment details confidential. A VAT receipt will be e-mailed to you on receipt of payment. We do not allow the therapists to handle payments as they are on a busy schedule. If companies want to pay by using a company cheque this can be arranged, however we must have 5 working days to clear the cheque. The payment is taken on-line when the booking is made and then the client receives confirmation
Do we need to provide any equipment?
No, all our therapists provide all their own equipment.
Where are the treatments performed?
All our treatments can be carried out at the desk however a space in a quiet room is sometimes preferable.
How long are the treatments?
The treatments are either 15 or 30 minutes long depending on the treatment and the time the client has to give. We can however alter the times if required
What are the benefits?
Beauty treatments such as a manicure/pedicure are a convenient service where the client does not have to worry about finding time outside working hours and makes the individual feel good. The massage/holistic treatments aim to reduce the build up of tension in the muscles used to keep you still whilst working at the desk. It also aims to reduce stress and give you a feeling of wellbeing.
What are the treatment prices?
To make it easy and competitive we charge £18 for 15 minutes and £36 for 30 minutes for every type of treatment. If a client requires more time for a treatment we can arrange a separate quote. The Wellbeing Day package is £432 (£72 per hour) for 6 hours which includes an hour introduction to wellbeing in the office and our services plus 5 hours of treatments or a 7 hour Wellbeing Day £504 (£72 per hour) which will be an hour talk plus 6 hours of treatments. All prices include VAT and we do provide a VAT invoice with every booking.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of people that can be treated?
No, we can treat as many or as few clients as required, as long as the booking is made two weeks in advance. Generally we require at least 3 hours work at any one location, however if we have a therapist working nearby we may be able to book less than the minimum of three hours. Most companies usually book 6 hours in a day and we treat as many clients as possible within those hours. We will always confirm bookings and contact the client if we need to make an alternative booking that works for both parties.
Can a trial be arranged for my company?
Yes it can. We know the best way to appreciate our service is for you to experience it yourself.
Will the treatments result in my employees being too relaxed to go back to work?
No, the massage/holistic treatments are designed to relax the client during the first few minutes; the remainder of the treatment is based on stimulating the muscles, leaving the client feeling alert and focused.
Do you provide therapists for events/exhibitions/promotions and conferences?
Yes, we provide as many as required, depending on the numbers to be treated.
On my next appointment will the same therapist be treating me?
Not always, due to other scheduling, holidays and illness, however we do try to use the same therapist whenever possible, as usually they are located nearby and they will feel comfortable due to the familiarity of the office and the clients.
Can I have two different treatments at the same appointment?
Generally yes, as most of our therapists are qualified for beauty and holistic therapies. If you do require this service please let us know when you are booking and we will endeavour to provide what you want.
Do I tip the therapist?
No, we would prefer you didn’t but would appreciate you tell your colleagues about the service as this is what increases the growth of Office Wellbeing. Also we would appreciate you fill in the “customer feedback form” which will be emailed to you after your treatment; this enables us to improve on the services we provide.
Are the therapists mainly women?
Yes, due to the nature of the market more women tend to be employed in this field, although sometimes we do employ men.
If I wanted to book regular appointments is it possible?
Yes, if you go to our booking section on the web-site, the information is there for you to see. We prefer regular bookings as it tells us that the client is very happy with the service.
Do you cover the whole country?
